Rojak Paste
This a Rojak Paste from Shop Malaysia and is a favourite fruit salad among Malaysians. It is made of shrimp paste and is a thick black paste. Rojak is a popular dessert in Malaysia. It’s not sweet – it’s perhaps best described as savory, sweet, tangy all at the same time. Rojak paste is typically mixed with fruit such as half ripe papaya, guava, turnips, cucumber, half ripe mango and other type of harder fruits. They are mixed together and the dish is called ‘rojak’ which really means mixture. Add some peanuts, finely chopped for the crispy touch.
This rojak paste is spicy and when you add in the fruits and chopped peanuts, it is not so spicy.
Ingredients : Chili powder, sugar, belacan or dry shrimp paste, prawn water, flour, salt
Note : Refigerate after opening. Use a dry spoon to scoop.
