Local Golden Anchovies
Anchovies is known in Malaysia as “Ikan Bilis”. Anchovy usually comes in dried salted form from small to large sizes. Malaysian use them in their daily cooking such as for soup stock for noodles or as base stock for noodles, stir frying, deep fried and many other method of cooking.
Golden anchovies is brownish and gold in color and firm in texture. It comes as a whole fish with the head and is not in peeled form. The size of this anchovy is from 3cm to 5cm in length. Golden anchovies is dried salted and is best for soup. It can be peeled for deep frying as a snack or side dish,

Shelf Life :
½ years when stored at chill temperature.
3½ months when stored at ambient temperature.
Storage : At chill temperature (7-8ºC)
